Lici grew up with the record player always spinning. When it wasn't singing along to Shakin' Stevens and Dean Martin at home, it was listening to Buddy Holly and Peggy Lee in the car. Lici quickly fell into love with the sound of the past and as a young child performer was often chosen to play roles to suit her old-soul, blues-infused voice, such as the tap-dancing Fizzy in Bugsy Malone! As she grew, she grew into a love of all things vintage.
Lici's performance career began at an early age, taking to the stage for her first solo aged only five years old! From there she began gathering a variety of performance experience, performing at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and recording for nationwide company Early Learning Centre aged 8 and up. At 13, Lici became an under-16's finalist at the International Presentation of Performers, gaining label interest from Virgin Records and Upscale Records LA. More recently, her distinctive tones have seen her scouted and shortlisted for ITV's The Voice!
Alongside vocals, Lici is a multi-instrumentalist, playing Jazz saxophone, guitar, piano, ukulele, and many more! But the voice is her true passion. When she's not on stage, Lici can be found placing the microphone and instruments into other people's hands as a popular vocal coach and music teacher. She adores vocal science and aiding others to find confidence in their own voice and creativity. You can check out her teaching site here!
As well as performing solo, Lici is one half of the contemporary function duo, The Double Takes. A duo with a difference, they infuse their multi-instrumentality with the best hits to create a one of a kind duo experience! Lici also writes and performs original music, letting her love of the blues and rock shine through.
Away from music, Lici is pursuing her dream of writing and illustrating musical children's stories, learning the art of bookbinding, and pursuing all the hobbies she can find time for!
